I graduated with a PhD from the Department of Human Development and Family Science with a Child and Adolescent Development focus area at Virginia Tech in 2023, with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Development. My doctoral dissertation, titled Antecedents and Consequences of Parent Technology Use in Parents of Young Children, examined potential predictors of caregiver technology use via online survey and observed differences in caregiver-child interactions in different technology conditions.

I earned my master’s degree from Virginia Tech in 2018. My thesis, titled Mothers’ and Fathers’ Differential Discussion of Emotions with their School-Age Children, examined caregiver-child conversations about positive and negative emotions.

Information about my previous research projects can be found on my Research Presentations page.

I attended the College of Charleston in South Carolina for my undergraduate studies. I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in French and Francophone studies. I spent a semester in Lille, France during my sophomore year.
